Key Responsibilities: As an Assistant Manager, you will oversee various aspects of salon operations, including staff
scheduling, training and development, inventory management, sales, and financial reporting. Your role will involve effectively leading and developing a team, fostering a positive work environment, providing guidance on business and technical competency matters, and resolving associate issues.
Guest Service: Your dedication to exceptional service will shine as you provide guests with an outstanding experience.
Understanding their needs, offering quality consultations, and delivering requested services efficiently and professionally will be your priority. You will also be responsible for resolving guest issues and offering expert advice on how to replicate desired looks at home.
Technical Skills: Staying up to date with the latest techniques and trends in the industry is essential. You will provide hair care services offered by Supercuts, attending regular seminars, recertifying annually, and staying ahead of the trends to ensure you remain among the most skilled and confident professionals in the industry.
Administrative Tasks: Performing administrative duties such as completing schedules and transactions on the computerized register, conducting close-out procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized salon environment will be part of your role. Additionally, you will participate in banking procedures, inventory management, and staff meetings as required.
Compliance: You will be responsible for maintaining a current cosmetology or barber license, as well as a manager license, in accordance with state/provincial regulations.
Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Current cosmetology, barber, or hairstylists license
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Exceptional guest service skills, with the ability to understand guests' needs, provide quality consultations, and perform requested services efficiently and professionally.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks such as scheduling, transactions, and housekeeping duties.
- Strong conflict resolution skills to address guest issues effectively.
- Excellent leadership abilities, fostering a positive work environment, providing guidance, and resolving associate issues.
Physical Requirements: This position involves the following physical requirements:
- Ability to stand for sustained periods of time.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and frequent lifting up to 10 pounds.
- Continuous repetitive movement with fingers, hands, wrists, and arms.
- Regular grasping and reaching, often above shoulder level.
- Exposure to various chemicals and fragrances used in performing services.
- Visual acuity, including close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Effective communication with guests regarding services, needs, and wants.
